Time passes by so quickly and before we know it, the holidays will be upon us and then the new year. I have joked time and time again that when the year 2000 came it did not bring destruction of technology that everyone was expecting, but it did cause a shift in the fabric of time causing it to move faster. When I think about where I was just a few short years ago I can’t help but shake my head… Where did my life go?
Setting goals are important, Solomon tells us in Proverbs 29:18 of the King James Version “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” But what does that mean? There are so many of the “new age” group who have made having goals into some sort of creepy, ungodly “mumbo-jumbo” and good Christian’s should stay away, but I know that when you and I have a clear focus on where we are going things happen.
Remember there is nothing new under the sun, the enemy is not original, but what he is good at doing is manipulating those things that are helpful to us by convincing us that it is not “godly”. This is why time in the word is so important. Allowing the word of God to fill your mind and most importantly your heart will allow you to know what is of God and what is not.
I can assure you that by having that single minded desire to focus on the path that God has for you will open doors that you did not even know was possible. So take the time to write down your hopes and your dreams. I find that sitting down and writing a letter to your Heavenly Father is an effective to do this. When you write this letter do not write it as a “To Do” list to Him, but as a love letter. Thanking Him, for what He has already done, and to pour out your heart to Him. I guarantee that when you surrender to Him; He will direct your path and your future will be more than you could even imagine or think.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Joy to you,
Universal Messenger of Joy
