As we enter into this holiday season it seems so timely that we would talk about the gift of the present that God has given to us. The past is something that can bog you down, at least is does me sometimes. All of those woulda, coulda, shoulda’s only serve as a reminder of things that we have no control over. The past does not define you and I, but what is does do is serve as a spring board to the next step in our lives.
Take a moment and look at those things that have happened in the past, those times when you felt like you had reached rock bottom and there seemed to be no hope and now look at where you are. Somehow you made it through, didn’t you?
As I look back on my life and examine the things that have happened, friends and loved ones lost, missed opportunities or even those “unanswered” prayers and I am awe stuck.
2 Corinthians 10:5(KJV)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
As you prepare to spend time with your friends and family take time to be thankful for the present that God has given you.
Joy to you,
Universal Messenger of Joy
