Make Time For God

I cannot control the things that are going on around me, so I often find myself feeling like I am being tossed all over the place; that there is one thing that I can control. I can seek God!

I must say that I have been a “die-hard” King James Version” of the Bible, but I am learning to look at other versions because it some ways it might not only be easier to read, but it speaks to me in a different way. As with this verse in The Message:

Matthew 6:30-33 (The Message)
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

How incredibly perfect!

  • We may fuss, but God tends to our needs and what is best for us.
  • We may be preoccupied with getting, but God gives us what we need.

Lord, we ask right now for your help to focus on You, help us to take the time out of our busy schedule to appreciate the fact that it was You that gave us another day. We praise You for all that You do in our lives.  Amen and Ame

The Disciple Jesus Loves,
