I must say that at first the topic for today was very disheartening as I do not have a spouse to be joyful about and then it occurred to me that while I do not have one right now that just as God promised in Genesis 2:18 (KJV), “it is not good for me to be alone; he has made a help meet for me.” I simply have to rely on the promise that He has made and know that when the time is right, he will come.
Even with Adam, God did not give him Eve right away. He gave him animals to love and to be loved by. There is no way of knowing how long Adam had to wait until she came, but when she finally did, she was a “perfect” fit for Adam.
So today, rejoice in the promise that even if we are alone today it will not always be that way. In the meantime we can know that whatever we are lacking in our life “that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper.” Hebrews 13:6 (KJV)
Joy to you,
