Take time for yourself

If you are anything like me taking time for myself has got to be the hardest thing to do. I remember growing up seeing my mom take care of everyone else but had little regard for herself. After she died I found that journals that she wrote talking about the extreme loneliness she felt because no one seemed to care about her. After reading these I began to question the way that I was handing my life and those around me, but I still believe that those beliefs that she had were taught to me and when something is that deeply ingrained it is hard to break the habit.

By taking the time to get away from the noise of your everyday life and finding that place you will be able to hear that still quiet voice of God. I believe that the business and the chaos of satan are to keep us from being still. Think of how amazing we as Christians would be if we did not let the cares and lies he tells consume our every second.

Psalm 46:9-11 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariots with fire.
“[a]Cease striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the [b]nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.

Take time for yourself today, take the time to know who you are in Christ!

Joy to you,
